La inseguridad alimentaria es un problema que se pronostica va a ser exacerbado por las consecuencias del cambio climático afectando los cultivos de pancoger y a los más pobres. En este documento se identifican los productos que se consumen en la zona y aquellos que se encuentran en la oferta natural pero que se han dejado de consumir o se consumen poco por diferentes razones. Se observa como los bosques del municipio de San José del Guaviare son proveedores de alimento de origen vegetal y animal para las poblaciones de campesinos e indígenas que habitan en la zona y a la vez son los más afectados por la deforestación en el país.
A partir de este análisis se proponen unos lineamientos para reducir la inseguridad alimentaria en el municipio, basados en la gestión ambiental, propendiendo por favorecer los productos nativos que no necesitan condiciones especiales de cultivo.
También se exalta el turismo responsable como fuente de ingresos y se espera que a través de la educación y la cultura, los habitantes reconozcan en el bosque una fuente de servicios ecosistémicos que les beneficien directamente para el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida y así se disminuyan los índices de deforestación.
Food insecurity is a problem that is predicted to be exacerbated by the consequences of climate change affecting the crops of subsistence and affecting the poorest. This document explores forests of the municipality of San José del Guaviare as suppliers of food of vegetable and animal origin for the populations of peasants and indigenous people living in the area.
Once identified the products consumed in the area and those that are in the natural supply but have been consumed or consumed little for different reasons, some guidelines are proposed to reduce food insecurity in the municipality based on the environmental management, favoring native products that do not need special growing conditions.
Responsible tourism is also exalted as a source of income and it is hoped that through education and culture the inhabitants will recognize in the forest a source of ecosystem services that directly benefit them for the improvement of the quality of life and thus diminish the deforestation rates.
