El estudio presentado describe como los factores ambientales son determinantes y pueden producir diversos efectos sobre la salud pública de la población asentada en el municipio de Soacha. Efectos que varían en tipo, intensidad y magnitud según la clase de peligro, el nivel de exposición y el número de afectados. Los datos surgen de la información publicada por la Oficina de Planeación Municipal, Secretaria de Salud del Municipio de Soacha.
Se plantea que los factores físicos en el entorno natural (calidad del aire, calidad del agua y emisiones auditivas), la industrialización, la concentración y crecimiento urbano, los desequilibrios ecológicos, alteran las condiciones y estilos de vida que dan como resultado una transformación radical en los niveles de salud.
Describe las dinámica poblacionales y los fenómenos de salud, dada la profundad interacción con las condiciones físicas del ambiente, ambiente que es transformado mediante la organización social de las poblaciones y sus relaciones; la sucesiva aparición y desaparición de las diferentes enfermedades como la hepatitis A, Leptospirosis, enfermedad diarreica aguda, enfermedad respiratoria, cardiovasculares, dérmicas y oftalmológicas.
Pocos son los reportes a la fecha encontrados que sustentan dicha relación salud / ambiente, estudios que permitan reconocer, identificar, cuantificar y cualificar dicho impacto.
The presented study describes how environmental factors are determinant and can produce various effects on the public health of the population settled in the municipality of Soacha. Effects that vary in type, intensity and magnitude according to the type of danger, the level of exposure and the number of affected. The data arise from the information published by the Municipal Planning Office, Secretary of Health of the Municipality of Soacha.

It describes population dynamics and health phenomena, given the deep interaction with the physical conditions of the environment, an environment that is transformed through the social organization of populations and their relationships; the successive appearance and disappearance of the different diseases such as hepatitis A, leptospirosis, acute diarrheal disease, and respiratory disease, cardiovascular, dermal and ophthalmological.
