dc.description	This article discusses some aspects of the ethical-political dimension of social work, under the premise that every profession is a product of objective conditions and at the same time of the conscious activity of its professional agents. This last aspect justifies the importance of the subject, since professional interventions inevitably involve a moment of justification about what is considered good and fair. From a conception of ethics as argumentation and not as prescription, it traces some features of the discourses currently in force in social work, to conclude with some proposals towards the reconstitution of a critical instance for the profession in the current context.	en-US
dc.description	El presente artículo discute algunos aspectos de la dimensión ético-política del trabajo social, bajo la premisa de que toda profesión es producto de condiciones objetivas y al mismo tiempo de la actividad consciente de sus agentes profesionales. En este último aspecto se justifica la importancia del tema, en tanto las intervenciones profesionales suponen, ineludiblemente, un momento de justificación acerca de lo que se considera bueno y justo. Desde una concepción de la ética como argumentación y no como prescripción, traza algunos rasgos de los discursos vigentes en la actualidad del trabajo social, para concluir con algunas propuestas hacia la reconstitución de una instancia crítica para la profesión en el contexto actual.	es-ES
