Assessment of Implementation of an ICT Appropriation Route for Engineering, Health and Education Teachers

dc.description	This paper presents the assessment of an ICT appropriation Route that was part of a project to qualify teaching practices in virtual scenarios in Higher Education. 119 Health, Engineering and Education teachers participated in three TPACK-design-based courses, where technology was integrated in pedagogy, curriculum, and evaluation. Design-Based Research was the methodology for developing the Route, and for this paper specifically, as part of an iteration of this process, a descriptive univariate and bivariate statistical analysis was used. The findings are obtained from two characterization instruments used at the beginning and at the end of the process. As a result, the teachers showed high motivation towards the Appropriation Route; the highest motivation was for e-activities and the lowest motivation for synchronous socialization spaces. The global rating for the Route was 4.6±0.4 with a minimum score of 2 and a maximum of 5. It is concluded that the teachers positively value the participation in the Route and implement the learnings in their work, since the objectives of this training were in correspondence with their teaching work. Additionally, this process allowed the teachers to better understand ICT components and develop new teaching skills to improve their teaching practices.	en-US
dc.description	Este artículo presenta la valoración de una Ruta de apropiación de TIC que hizo parte de un proyecto para cualificar las prácticas docentes en la Educación Superior en la modalidad virtual. Participaron 119 profesores pertenecientes a las áreas de Salud, Ingeniería y Educación, en tres diplomados diseñados con base en el modelo TPACK, donde se integró la tecnología con la pedagogía, la didáctica, el currículo y la evaluación. Para el desarrollo de la Ruta se recurrió a la metodología Investigación Basada en Diseño y, específicamente para este artículo, como parte de una iteración propia de este proceso, se recurre al análisis estadístico univariado y bivariado de tipo descriptivo, para presentar los hallazgos obtenidos a partir de dos instrumentos de caracterización que se utilizaron al inicio y al final del proceso. Como resultado, los profesores manifestaron motivación alta hacia la Ruta de apropiación; la mayor motivación fue por las e-actividades y la menor motivación por los espacios de socialización sincrónicos. La calificación global para la Ruta fue de 4,6±0,4 con una valoración mínima de 2 y máxima de 5. Se concluye que los profesores valoran de manera positiva la participación en la Ruta y mencionan que aplican los aprendizajes en su trabajo, ya que los objetivos de esta formación estaban en correspondencia con su quehacer docente. Además, este proceso posibilitó que los profesores comprendieran mejor los componentes de TIC y desarrollaran nuevas habilidades de enseñanza para mejorar sus prácticas docentes.	es-ES
