| dc.description | San Basilio de Palenque was recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 2005 due to its strategic geographic location and significant cultural values, being one of the most attractive Colombian towns with more potential for tourism. These conditions imply looking and understanding San Basilio both form the inside and the outside. From within, this is a territory that has three serious problems: cultural and productive practices due to the severe drought; environmental pollution due to the absence of a waste management plan and the lack of qualified comunitary spaces for the adequate practice and development of cultural practices; situations that place the ancestral cultural heritage and spaces at risk. From the outside it is necessary to understand and interpret this territory from criteria, concepts and methodologies derived from its own nature and cultural logics. This is why the idea of systems thinking becomes the fundamental axis that defines both the analysis and evaluation methods, as well as the different criteria for the intervention of this significant territory, facing the future through adequate and responsible actions focused to its protection. | en-US |
| dc.description | San Basilio de Palenque, por su localización geográfica estratégica y su significativo valorcultural reconocido como Patrimonio Inmaterial de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en el año 2005, es uno de los poblados colombianos de mayor atractivo y potencial turístico.Esta situación implica mirar y entender a San Basilio desde adentro y desde afuera. Al interior, este es un territorio que se enfrenta a tres graves problemas: la sequía que ha provocado la pérdida de las prácticas culturales y productivas; la ausencia de un plan de manejo de basuras que lo ha abocado a la contaminación ambiental, y la carencia de espacios comunitarios cualificados que han impedido el desarrollo adecuado de las prácticas culturales; situaciones que actualmente ponen en riesgo su acervo cultural ancestral y su espacio cultural. Desde el exterior es necesario aproximarse, comprender e interpretar este territorio desde conceptos, criterios y metodologías emanados de su misma naturaleza y de sus propias lógicas culturales o por lo menos afines a ellas. Es por eso que el pensamiento sistémico como idea fundamental se convierte en el eje integral que define tanto la metodología de análisis y valoración como la de intervención de este significativo territorio negro de cara al futuro, donde se hace necesario establecer responsablemente las acciones apropiadas para su salvaguardia. | es-ES |
