dc.description Asperger's Syndrome (AS) was described for the first time by the Australian pediatrician Hans Asperger in 1944, and until then numerous investigations on different aspects related to the syndrome have been found in the literature (Rattazzi, 2009). AS is considered one of the pervasive developmental disorders (PDD) or as part of the autism spectrum disorders (ASD) (Barón-Cohen et al, 2006). Two decades ago, Gilberg raised the possibility of separating AS from autism, proposing a symptomatological series that includes a set of areas involved beyond social limitation or behavioral restriction (Gilberg, 1989).
