dc.description	At the height of the Golden Age of Mexican comics, more than 60% of the nearly 70 million issues printed every month belonged to the genre of the so-called romantic comic, with an audience largely composed of women. The success of this type of comic was a result of the work of key artists such as Laura Bolaños, Elía D’Ezrel, and Yolanda Vargas Dulché. The representation of women offered by these works distanced itself from the progressive and proto-feminist model of the modern woman proposed in the pages of the first pepines of the Golden Age, giving centrality rather to the image of the traditional woman, a silent, servile, abnegated and virtuous figure prooted by state propaganda as the patriotic ideal in the 1940s as a response to those alternative models. Only in the 1990s, with the rise of what I here call the feminist comics of Cecilia Pego and Cintia Bolio, can we observe a change in the paradigm, born from the interest espoused by these authors in taking charge of the representation of female subjectivities and themes, denouncing oppression, the manifestation of machismo, and the conservatism of the medium in which they work.	en-US
dc.description	En el apogeo de la Época de Oro del cómic mexicano, más del 60% de los cerca de setenta millones de historietas impresos cada mes pertenecían al llamado género de la historieta romántica, con una audiencia conformada mayoritariamente por mujeres. El éxito de este tipo de historieta se debe a artistas como Laura Bolaños, Elía D’Ezrel y Yolanda Vargas Dulché, quienes llegarían a convertirse en pilares del género en México. La representación de la mujer ofrecida por estos cómics se distanciaba del modelo progresivo y proto-feminista de mujer moderna propuesto en las primeros pepines de la Época de Oro, privilegiando en cambio la imagen de la mujer tradicional, una figura silenciosa, abnegada, servil, y virtuosa promovida en la propaganda estatal como ideal patriótico en la década de los cuarentas en respuesta a los modelos alternativos. Es solo hasta la década de los noventas, con la aparición de lo que aquí se denomina el cómic feminista de Cecilia Pego y Cintia Bolio, que se aprecia un cambio de paradigma, nacido del interés de estas autoras por tomar las riendas de la representación de las subjetividades y temáticas femeninas, denunciando la opresión, las manifestaciones del machismo y el conservadurismo del medio en el que se desempeñan.	es-ES
