This article gives an account of how the treatment pronoun sumercé provides, in discursive interactions between Bogotá speakers, a relationship of closeness and intimacy in varying degrees, contrary to the relations of distance and deference that it has historically.
El presente artículo da cuenta de cómo el pronombre de tratamiento sumercé establece, en las interacciones discursivas de los sujetos bogotanos, unas relaciones de cercanía e intimidad con distintas gradaciones, contrario a las relaciones de distancia y deferencia que históricamente ha tenido.
