The present article of reflection aims to make a brief but reflexive review of some approaches and methods to teach Spanish as ELE, so the general features of some approaches that gave rise to the task approach, such as the traditional grammatical translation, the structural one that in turn allowed the development of methods such as linguistic and situational audio, the communicative one that was based on communicative competences, all from the perspective of authors like Martí, (2017), Ortiz (2014) ), Cabrera (2014), Richards and Rogers (1998), Larsen and Long (1994); Baralo (1996); Matte (1998), Castañeda (1998), Ambjoern (2009), among others. Likewise, it was determined that the focus for tasks collected many of the contributions of their predecessors and allowed teachers to adapt the teaching strategies to the needs and interests of the students.
El presente artículo de reflexión tiene como objetivo hacer una revisión breve pero reflexiva, de algunos enfoques y métodos para enseñar el español como ELE. Por esta raón se exponen los rasgos generales de algunos constructos que dieron origen al enfoque por tareas, como por ejemplo el de traducción gramatical tradicional, el estructural que a su vez permitió el desarrollo de métodos como el Audio lingüístico y el situacional, el comunicativo que se basaba en las competencias comunicativas, todo ello desde las perspectivas de autores como Martí, (2017), Ortiz (2014), Cabrera (2014), Richards y Rogers (1998), Larsen y Long (1994); Baralo (1996); Matte(1998), Castañeda (1998), Ambjoern (2009), entre otros. Asimismo, se determinó que el enfoque por tareas recogió muchos de los aportes de sus antecesores y permitió que los docentes adaptasen las estrategias didácticas a las necesidades e intereses de los estudiantes.
