This article is part of the results of an investigation that aimed to determine the impact of the implementation of a learning environment supported by ICT in the critical thinking skills associated with the production of digital multimodal texts. The methodology of the study was qualitative and was developed with 29 students of fifth grade, in a public educational institution of the municipality of Ciudad Bolívar, Antioquia. The results showed that the spaces generated by the teacher for the exchange of ideas among the students during the classes are motivators for digital multimodal writing. The conclusion is that the design of a learning environment supported by ICT, with the characteristics of collaborative and participatory, promotes the skills of critical thinking during the writing of digital multimodal texts in elementary students.Este artículo hace parte de los resultados de una investigación que tenía como propósito determinar la incidencia que tiene la implementación de un ambiente de aprendizaje apoyado por TIC en las habilidades del pensamiento crítico asociadas a la producción de textos multimodales digitales. La metodología del estudio fue cualitativa y se desarrolló con 29 estudiantes de grado quinto, en una institución educativa pública del municipio de Ciudad Bolívar, Antioquia. Los resultados mostraron que los espacios que genere el profesor para el intercambio de ideas entre los estudiantes durante las clases son motivadores para la escritura multimodal digital. Dentro de las conclusiones se plantea que el diseño de un ambiente de aprendizaje apoyado por TIC, con las características de colaborativo y participativo, promueve las habilidades del pensamiento crítico durante la escritura de textos multimodales digitales en los estudiantes de básica primaria.
