| dc.description | El principio del determinismo tecno-ecológico y tecno-económico constituye el núcleo explicativo del materialismo cultural de Marvin Harris. El presente artículo describe y analiza este concepto, se reflexiona sobre su significado y sobre las objeciones que es posible hacerle. Las principales objeciones son dos: la posible negación de la libertad que implicaría, y la dificultad que conlleva la impredecibilidad de la acción humana.THE DETERMINISM PRINCIPLE IN CULTURAL MATERIALISMAbstract The principle of techno- cological and techno-economic determinism constitutes the explanatory core of Marvin Harris’s cultural materialism. This article describes and analyzes this concept, reflects on its significance and possible objections to it.
