| dc.description | The objective of this article is to analyze the situation of scholastic geography, in its daily scholastic practice, within the framework of the geographic conditions of the globalized world. The thematic one assumes that the complexity of the geographic reality of the global world, it is revealed as a situation characterized by the presence of problematic of ominous social repercussion, while in the school, to teach geography it is a transmisiva work, encyclopedic, determinist, naturalistic and descontextualizate a of immediate the surroundings, that tries memoristics learning and produces a neutral educative action, ingenuous and non-political. That originated a theoretical-methodological answer, whose objective is to analyze the pedagogical function that must within the framework fulfill the geography scholastic of the globalized world. Methodologically, one leaned in a bibliographical revision on geographic, pedagogical and didactic foundations to explain that the education of geography, in the scope of the present world, to have to be coherent and pertinent with the transformation of the geographic reality. According to the experts, its work must be settled down in didactic processes that study problems of the localities, to motivate the democratic participation, activates, reflective and critical of the students and to promote the elaboration of change options that improve the environmental and geographic difficulties towards one better quality of life of the place. | en-US |
| dc.description | El objetivo de este texto es analizar la situación de la geografía escolar, en su práctica escolar cotidiana, en el marco de las condiciones geográficas del mundo globalizado. La temática asume que la complejidad de la realidad geográfica del mundo global, se revela como una situación caracterizada por la presencia de problemáticas de nefasta repercusión social, mientras en la escuela, enseñar geografía es una labor transmisiva, enciclopedista, determinista, naturalista y descontextualizada del entorno inmediato, que procura aprendizajes memorísticos y produce una acción educativa neutral, ingenua y apolítica. Eso originó una respuesta teórico-metodológica, cuyo objetivo es analizar la función pedagógica que debe cumplir la geografía escolar en el marco del mundo globalizado. Metodológicamente, se apoyó en una revisión bibliográfica sobre fundamentos geográficos, pedagógicos y didácticos para explicar que la enseñanza de la geografía, en el ámbito del mundo actual, deber ser coherente y pertinente con la transformación de la realidad geográfica. Según los expertos, su labor debe afincarse en procesos didácticos que estudien problemas de las localidades, motivar la participación democrática, activa, reflexiva y crítica de los estudiantes y promover la elaboración de opciones de cambio que mejoren las dificultades ambientales y geográficas hacia una mejor calidad de vida del lugar. | es-ES |
