dc.description	Based on the recent debate about two models of children education (the eastern and the western approaches), raised by the publication of Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, by the US citizen author Amy Chua, this article questions the binarism “rigidity” vs. “negotiated flexibility”, as a way to set up limits to children’s behavior. By questioning the naturalization of educational processes, and by discussing different interpretations of the aforementioned book, this article presents the culturally created character of educational-related matters and its connections with the so-called educational models. What is at stake in this rhetorical-discursive game about early childhood education is the production of a subject able to live in accordance with the demands of today´s neo-liberal rationality.	en-US
dc.description	A partir de la reciente polémica instalada por la publicación del libro Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, de autoría de la estadounidense Amy Chua, la que pone en oposición al modelo oriental con el modelo occidental de educación infantil, este artículo problematiza el binarismo “rigidez” vs “flexibilización negociada” en la puesta de límites (entendida como un imperativo) al comportamiento de los niños. Argumentando contra la naturalización de los procesos educativos y presentando distintas lecturas sobre las afirmaciones hechas por la Madre-Tigre, el artículo muestra el carácter culturalmente inventado de todo lo concerniente con la educación y sus conexiones con los denominados modelos educacionales. Lo que está presente en ese juego retórico-discursivo sobre la educación infantil es la producción de un sujeto capaz de vivir atendiendo a las demandas de la racionalidad neoliberal contemporánea.	es-ES
dc.description	À partir de la récente polémique installée en raison de la publication du livre Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother, de l’auteur américain Amy Chua qui met en opposition le modèle oriental au modèle occidental d’éducation enfantine, cet article met en question le binarisme « rigidité » vs. « flexibilisation négociée » dans la mise des limites (comprise en tant qu’impératif) au comportement des enfants. En argumentant contre la naturalisation des processus éducatifs et en présentant différentes lectures à propos des affirmations faites par la Mère-Tigre, cet article montre le caractère culturellement inventé de tout ce qui concerne l’éducation et ses liens avec les nommés modèles d`´éducation. Ce qui est présent dans ce jeu rhétoriquediscursif concernant l`éducation enfantine est la production d’un sujet capable de vivre en répondant aux exigences de la rationalité contemporaine.	fr-CA
