Resumen: El artículo plantea el papel movilizador en México del movimiento indígena y de sus experiencias de poder local y de autonomía, a pesar de sus límites, así como de la lucha popular por los derechos democráticos y los recursos naturales. Destaca también la recuperación del movimiento sindical y del campesino, que comienzan a unirse con el movimiento cívico en torno a un proyecto alternativo de país Abstract: The article sets forth the idea of the Mexican indigenous movement with its experiences in local power and autonomy, and despite its limits, as a mobilizing force, as well as the people’s struggle for democratic rights and natural resources. It also highlights the recovery of trade union and rural community movements, which began to join together with the civic movement around an alternative project for the country
