dc.description	Los estudios de la visualidad han analizado las series de postales en forma individual y en su conjunto, ya que sintetizan intenciones e idealizaciones que pueden considerarse como actos antropológicos. Este artículo presenta un estudio sobre postales de Guayaquil producidas entre 1970 y 2004 y da cuenta del impacto de la regeneración urbana en el imaginario visual urbano actual. Un análisis de contenido y textual de estas postales, así como entrevistas a los fotógrafos que las producen, permitieron descubrir discursividades visuales generadas alrededor de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Las postales y fotógrafos evidencian cómo la mirada se centra en espacios regenerados que materializan intenciones de control social e idealizaciones urbanas y raciales, así como un rechazo hacia lo popular. Asimismo, también se analizan postales que presentan otras miradas-intenciones alternativas a los discursos hegemónicos visuales.
dc.description	The visual studies have analyzed the postcard series individually and as a whole, as they summarize the objectives and idealizations that might be considered as anthropological actions. This study based on postcards of Guayaquil, carried out from 1970 to 2004, shows the impact of the urban regeneration upon the current urban visual imaginary. A content and textual analysis of these postcards as well as interviews to photographers that produced them, enabled us to find out the visual discursiveness generated with regard to the city of Guayaquil. Postcards and photographers clearly demonstrate how the attention is focused on the regenerated spacious materializing the intentions of social control and urban and racial idealizations, as well as a rejection to what is considered popular. There are also postcards with other alternative looking-intentions toward the visual homogeneous discourse.
