dc.description Este trabajo discute datos provenientes de investigación que investigó cómo las concepciones y acciones de educación musical de profesores de música configuran la práctica pedagógico-musical en escuelas de la enseñanza fundamental. Utilizando como referencial teórico la fenomenología social de Schutz, realizamos tres estudios de caso cualitativos comtrés profesoras de música red privada de enseñanza de Porto Alegre, RS. Los resultados sugieren que las prácticas pedagógico-musicales de las profesoras configuran formas distintas de aquellas expresadas en sus concepciones y acciones. Las profesoras parecen no percibir los presupuestos implícitos en sus concepciones y acciones, así como las inconsistencias y contradicciones subyacentes a las mismas, porque, en su trabajo cotidiano, poseen un interés fundamentalmente práctico. Su principal propósito es enseñar música a determinados grupos en contextos específicos, y no cuestionar los principios que fundamentan sus prácticas pedagógico-musicales. Estos resultados señalan caminos para repensar la formación de los profesores de música y la elaboración de políticas curriculares. es-ES
dc.description This paper discusses data from a research that investigated how Brazilian music teachers’ conceptions and practices of music education constitute their music teaching practices at primary schools. Taking the social phenomenology of Schutz as our theoretical framework, we carried out qualitative case studies of three music teachers working at private schools of Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil. The results revealed some inconsistencies and contradictions underlying teachers’ conceptions and practices that block the realisation of their work as intended by them. The teachers did not seem to be aware of these inconsistencies and contradictions because, in their daily work, they have an eminently practical interest. Their main purpose is, firstly and mostly, to teach music to certain groups of students in specific contexts, and not to question the principles that ground their pedagogical practices. These results provide insights that can contribute for rethinking music teachers’ education and educational policies. en-US
