The aim of this study is to explore the presence of romantic myths in a sample of 2798 teachers in training from Spain and Latin America, as well as to analyze the relationship between romantic myths and distorted beliefs about gender roles and gender-based violence. The study uses a quantitative methodology and a cross-sectional design. The results show that both constructs are related, and that acceptance of romantic myths varies significantly between men and women and among countries.
El objetivo ha sido estudiar los mitos románticos en una muestra de 2798 docentes en formación de España y Latinoamérica, así como analizar la relación entre los mitos y las creencias distorsionadas sobre los roles y la violencia de género. El estudio utiliza una metodología cuantitativa y un diseño transversal. Los resultados muestran que los constructos están relacionados, y que la aceptación de los mitos románticos varía significativamente entre hombres y mujeres y entre países.
