| dc.description | Los antiguos mexicanos tenían una cultura importante en la creación de jardines y huertos, producto de la horticultura. El siglo XVI también se caracterizó por el conocimiento de la vegetación nativa y la traída por los españoles. En el siglo XVIII, con la segunda expedición florística realizada por Martino Sesse y Josepho Mociño dio surgimiento al jardín de Palacio Nacional que reunió la enseñanza de la herbolaria, la botánica, la química y la medicina en México; en la actualidad el jardín es un área verde sin un mensaje cultural o científico. | - |
