| dc.description | The sound memory is an aspect of collective memory that has been barely studied. By sound memory we understand the construction which each person uses to make sense of the sounds it receives, exceeding the physical act itself and giving a semantic value to the sound, depending on the social and cultural experience of each person. Given that during their captivity the detained-disappeared were blindfolded and isolated, their accounts are built from the sense of hearing, using it to describe the spaces and routines, while acquiring significant values that connected to the environment, determining survival strategies. We also intend to account for the relationship that the survivors have now with those sounds, from the possibility of constructing new meanings with the passage of time. | en-US |
| dc.description | La memoria sonora es un aspecto escasamente estudiado de la memoria colectiva. Por memoria sonora entendemos la construcción a la que cada uno recurre para significar los sonidos que percibe, excediendo el hecho físico y otorgándole un valor semántico en función de la experiencia sociocultural personal. Dado que durante su cautiverio los detenidos-desaparecidos tenían los ojos vendados y estaban aislados, sus relatos se construyen desde el sentido auditivo, valiéndose de él para describir los espacios y rutinas; a la vez que adquirían significados que los conectaban con el entorno, determinando estrategias de supervivencia. También nos proponemos dar cuenta de la relación que los sobrevivientes tienen en la actualidad con esos sonidos, a partir de su resignificación con el paso del tiempo. | es-ES |
