Descripción :	The spacial reestruturaction of industry in the 1990’s has taken,concurrently with the New Automotive Regime, to aimplantation process of automotive plants on diferents regionsin Brazil. Outcome, Curitiba outstands as an important placeof manufacturing and exportation of vehicles. This articlediscuss the reasons to the implantation of those industriesand the advantages of Curitiba face to Porto Alegre and Juizde Fora, the most important investiments destination in thisdecade. A reestruturação espacial da indústria nos anos 1990 levou,com o Novo Regime Automotriz, a um processo de implantaçãode montadoras de automóveis em distintas regiões noBrasil. Como resultado, Curitiba passou a se destacar comoum importante local de produção e exportação de automóveis.No presente artigo são discutidos os condicionantes daimplantação desta indústria e as vantagens apresentadas pelaindústria de Curitiba face à Porto Alegre e Juiz de Fora, principaisdestinos dos investimentos do período.
