| dc.description | Este trabalho busca identificar quais foram os interesses que motivaram as potências ocidentais a promover a intervenção na Líbia, através da OTAN, em 2011. Nesse sentido, primeiramente será realizada uma análise das justificativas apresentadas por estas para efetuar os ataques à Líbia. Em seguida, serão analisados os interesses imediatos dos principais atores ocidentais na derrubada de Kadafi. Ainda, o trabalho busca analisar o papel adotado pelos países membros da Liga Árabe em relação à questão, procurando demonstrar que a atuação destes respeitava uma agenda própria, e contribuiu para facilitar a atuação das potências ocidentais e a derrubada e eliminação de Muammar Kadafi.Palavras-Chave: Kadafi; Primavera Árabe; OTAN; Intervenção. Abstract: This paper aims to identify the interests that motivated the Western powers' promotion of the NATO intervention in Libya in 2011. Firstly, the powers' justifications for the attacks on Lybia will be analyzed. Then the immediate interests of the major Western actors in the overthrow of Gaddafi will be examines. The work also aims at analyzing the role adopted by the members of the Arab League on the issue, seeking to demonstrate that their behavior respected their own agenda, and helped facilitate the Western powers' action and the overthrow and elimination of Muammar Gaddafi.Keywords: Gaddafi; Arab Spring; NATO; Intervention.DOI: 10.20424/2237-7743/bjir.v4n3p670-693 | pt-BR |
