Abstract This article will discuss Iran’s relations with Latin America, particularly Venezuela. The study will be conducted from the commercial-economic, political-diplomatic and cultural levels. Venezuela is a key international player for Iran as its main ally in the Latin American scene, a region in which it’s interested in adding other partners, such as Ecuador, Bolivia and Brazil. The article will also address the joint between the bilateral relationships with the respective regional policies (triangulations). The policies of the U.S. and Israel will be explored, since they are key actors in the foreign policy of both countries. While the relationship between Venezuela and Iran on oil is several decades, the novelty of the present context is that such a linkage was extended beyond the framework of OPEC. The agreements provide for joint projects to develop in different areas such as basic industries, mining, agriculture and land, energy and oil, science and technology as well as consular and political aspects. Currently it is estimated that there have been more than 192 joint projects.-
