| dc.description | Este artículo presenta resultados de mi tesis de Maestría de Sociología de la Cultura y Análisis Cultural, basada en el trabajo de campo realizado entre 2020 y 2021, donde analicé relatos de vida de travestis y trans en el noroeste del Conurbano Bonaerense. La hipótesis sostiene que las interacciones de las travestis con la ruta son fundamentales para la construcción de su identidad en el comercio sexual y para la producción social del espacio. Este vínculo bidireccional implica que, mientras las travestis moldean su identidad de género a través de sus experiencias, la ruta también adquiere significado a partir de sus prácticas, creando una relación dinámica entre sujeto y espacio. El objetivo del artículo es analizar los vínculos entre narración, identidad y espacio, empleando una metodología cualitativa. Utilizando el método biográfico, busco captar las experiencias individuales como reflejo de procesos sociales más amplios. Este análisis contribuye a comprender cómo las prácticas cotidianas de las travestis en la ruta revelan su resistencia y adaptación a contextos adversos, y evidencian la interacción entre identidades marginalizadas y estructuras sociales. | dc.description | This article presents results of my Master's thesis in Sociology of Culture and Cultural Analysis, based on fieldwork conducted between 2020 and 2021, where I analyzed life narratives of transvestites and transgender people in the northwest of the Conurbano Bonaerense. The hypothesis argues that transvestites' interactions with the road are fundamental for the construction of their identity within sex work and for the social production of space. This bidirectional link implies that, while transvestites shape their gender identity through their experiences, the route also acquires meaning from their practices, creating a dynamic relationship between subject and space. The aim of the article is to analyze the links between narrative, identity and space, employing a qualitative methodology. Using the biographical method, I seek to capture individual experiences as a reflection of broader social processes. This analysis contributes to understanding how the everyday practices of travestis on the route reveal their resilience and adaptation to adverse contexts, and evidence the interplay between marginalized identities and social structures. By conceptualizing the route as a meaningful place, the article illuminates the dynamics of marginalization and agency in this population. | en |
