dc.descriptionAnte los recientes cambios en el Sistema de Cooperación Internacional (SCI), referidos específicamente a la disminución de los flujos de cooperación hacia Latinoamérica y el Caribe, el Centro Agronómico Tropical de Investigación y Enseñanza (CATIE) se ve en la necesidad de buscar nuevas alternativas de proyección y participación en la región latinoamericana. El CATIE se decide por buscar mejores opciones de financiación para sus proyectos en el cono sur del continente americano –a pesar de que Mesoamérica ha sido su principal área de acción desde su creación en 1973–, optando por iniciar un proceso de proyección en la República Argentina, un Estado que juega un rol dual en el SCI , con el fin de entablar nuevas alianzas con instituciones gubernamentales, universidades, y organizaciones no gubernamentales. Por eso, este trabajo tiene como fin el presentar al Centro las mejores alternativas de socios estratégicos respecto a instituciones argentinas, para el establecimiento de nuevas alianzas en el país del sur, dando además recomendaciones y algunas acciones estratégicas para llevar a cabo el proceso.-
dc.descriptionIn view of the recent changes in the International Cooperation System (ICS), specifically referring to the decrease in cooperation flows to Latin America and the Caribbean, the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE) is faced with the need to seek new alternatives for projection and participation in the Latin American region. CATIE decided to look for better funding options for its projects in the southern cone of the American continent -despite the fact that Mesoamerica has been its main area of action since its creation in 1973-, opting to initiate a process of projection in the Republic of Argentina, a State that plays a dual role in the SCI, in order to establish new alliances with governmental institutions, universities and non-governmental organizations. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to present to the Center the best alternatives of strategic partners with respect to Argentine institutions, for the establishment of new alliances in the southern country, also giving recommendations and some strategic actions to carry out the process.-
