dc.descriptionIn this article I explore the affective dimension of the lived experience of drafted soldiers, officers and non-commissioned officers who were sent to the south of Tucuman Province (Argentina) during Operativo Independencia (Tucuman, 1975- 1977). In analytical terms, I will address the work of the philosopher Baruj Spinoza (1632-1677) and the re-readings of his framework by Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995) and other authors of the "affective turn", who reflect on the power of affection and affect in the interaction between bodies, as well as the possibility of composing bodies of "higher power". In empirical terms, I will analyze interviews from a member of the Gendarmería (Argentine Border Patrol) and the drafted soldiers who took part in the military activities. I will also use administrative materials from the Argentine Military Archives where military actions can be found; and a collection of testimonies from officers who participated in these military actions that was published in the text Aniquilen al ERP in 1985. In all these cases, the stories show affects, and constitute intense narratives which evidence as bodily effect. Moreover, I support the body of literature that seeks to account for the conditions which made the political repression during the last military government (1976-1983) possible. Showing the mechanisms by which military members constructed adherence and the availability of military personal to “sacrifice”, as way to encourage their debt to their “comrades fallen in combat”.  en-US
dc.descriptionEn este trabajo, me interesa explorar la dimensión afectiva de la experiencia vivida en el sur tucumano por aquellos soldados conscriptos, oficiales y suboficiales enviados al Operativo Independencia (Tucumán, 1975-1977). Para ello, en términos analíticos, retomaré el trabajo del filósofo Baruj Spinoza (1632-1677) y las relecturas que de este marco hizo Gilles Deleuze (1925-1995) y autores del llamado “giro afectivo”, que han reflexionado sobre el poder de afección y de ser afectado a partir de la interacción entre cuerpos, así como de la posibilidad de componer cuerpos de “potencia superior”. En términos empíricos, trabajaré con entrevistas a un gendarme y a ex soldados conscriptos enviados al Operativo; material burocrático-administrativo donde se consignan huellas del accionar militar, obrante en el Archivo del Ejército Argentino; y una serie de testimonios de oficiales que participaron de dicha acción militar publicados en 1985 en el libro Aniquilen al ERP. En todos estos casos se trata de relatos donde se evidencia afectos, es decir, donde la materia prima está conformada por una narración de las intensidades que emergen como efecto corporal (ver Massumi, 1995; y Anderson, 2009).  es-ES
