Descripción :	El presente trabajo se realizó en el territorio colectivo del Consejo Comunitario de la Cuenca del Río Cacarica, ubicado dentro de la unidad política-administrativa del Municipio de Riosucio, en el Departamento de Chocó. Este territorio se encuentra habitado por comunidades negras y mestizas, quienes obtienen su mayor ingreso del aprovechamiento de los recursos maderables del bosque. El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar basado en la perspectiva de las comunidades los factores que inciden en el acceso, uso y manejo de los recursos forestales como determinantes de las trayectorias del sistema de tenencia forestal en el territorio colectivo del Consejo Comunitario de la Cuenca del Río Cacarica. Para responder a este objetivo, se empleó un enfoque metodológico cualitativo, que permitió abordar la tenencia forestal a partir del conocimiento y la percepción de las comunidades locales, mediante el uso de entrevistas semiestructuradas y el análisis estructural del sistema de tenencia forestal. A partir de las entrevistas y el análisis estructural se pudo identificar los distintos tipos de tenencia que se presentan en el consejo comunitario, los eventos que marcaron las trayectorias de la tenencia forestal en el periodo comprendido entre 1974 y 2018; asimismo, se identificaron y analizaron las fuerzas de cambio que mayor influencia tienen sobre la seguridad de tenencia en este territorio, entre las cuales se destaca la política pública, el conflicto armado y la reglamentación de la Ley 70 de 1993. This work was carried out in the collective territory of the Community Council of the Cacarica River Basin, located within the political-administrative unit of the Municipality of Riosucio, in the Department of Chocó. This territory is inhabited by black and mestizo communities, who obtain their highest income from the use of timber resources in the forest. The objective of this research was to analyze based on the perspective of the communities the factors that affect the access, use and management of forest resources as determinants of the trajectories of the forest tenure system in the collective territory of the Community Council of the Basin of the Cacarica river. To meet this objective, a qualitative methodological approach was used, which allowed addressing forest tenure based on the knowledge and perception of local communities, using semi-structured interviews and structural analysis of the forest tenure system. From the interviews and the structural analysis, it was possible to identify the different types of tenure that are presented in the community council, the events that marked the trajectories of forest tenure in the period between 1974 and 2018; Likewise, the forces of change that have the greatest influence on security of tenure in this territory were identified and analyzed, among which public policy, armed conflict and the regulation of Law 70 of 1993.
