dc.descriptionThe present work explores the presence of articles on science and technology in five Costa Rican newspapers during February of 2004. The goal is the determination of the most significant characteristics of the journalistic production in this field.The results of a content analysis of the studied texts are explained. The procedure includes an examination of the relevant actors, the communication channels between writers and their sources, the contents and ways in which information is dealt with, as well as the elements that define a journalistic discourse in the fields of science and technologyen-US
dc.descriptionEste trabajo explora la presencia de tópicos científicos y tecnológicos en cinco periódicos de Costa Rica durante el mes de febrero del 2004, con el fin de reconocer los rasgos más significativos que caracterizan la producción periodística en estos campos. Se exponen los resultados de un ejercicio de análisis de contenido que permitió examinar en los textos estudiados: actores presentes, canales de comunicación entre emisores y sus fuentes, contenidos y tratamiento informativo; elementos que dan cuenta de un discurso periodístico en ciencia y tecnología.es-ES
