dc.descriptionThis article investigates the relationship between motherhood, fatherhood and the participation in activities outside of the home. Based on microdata from the last national population census in Argentina, the occupational and educational participation of fathers and mothers of young children in the City of Buenos Aires are analyzed. It is developed, in descriptive form, how they mutate or persist throughout the process of care and upbringing of the first years, and how these experiences differ according to the age and the position in kinship.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo indaga en la relación entre maternidades, paternidades y el despliegue de actividades fuera del hogar. A partir de microdatos disponibles del último censo nacional de población de la Argentina, se realiza un análisis estadístico descriptivo de la inserción ocupacional y educativa de los padres y las madres de niños pequeños y niñas pequeñas en la ciudad de Buenos Aires en el año 2010. Se desarrolla, en forma descriptiva, cómo las mismas mutan o persisten a lo largo del proceso de cuidado y crianza de los primeros años, y cómo estas vivencias se diferencian según la edad y posición en el parentesco.es-ES
