Descripción :	Esta investigación se proponía como objetivo principal explorar las relaciones entre la práctica del teatro y el reconocimiento del otro como construcción de ciudadanía. Desde el enfoque de la ciudadanía participativa, se asume que la ineficacia del sistema de gobierno democrático para representar y defender a todos los ciudadanos, podría ser transformado por aquellos que decidan involucrarse para construir mediante la acción dialógica, una sociedad en donde se reconozca y escuche lo distinto. Planteando el teatro como un medio de comunicación y por ende un medio posible para la transformación social y cultural, se toma en cuenta a las personas que lo practican. Por lo que esta investigación hace un estudio de tipo exploratorio-propositivo y trabaja desde la experiencia de los jóvenes de nuevo ingreso al Taller de Teatro Jaulabierta, resaltando cuál podría ser la incidencia del mismo para lograr cambios a largo plazo de pensamiento y comportamiento que motive a participar de manera activa con acciones, discursos y discernimientos en la construcción de una sociedad donde quepamos todos. Como principales hallazgos, se evidencia que primero se debe plantear la reflexión en un plano personal para poder trascender a un nivel colectivo y que aunque se establece que el reconocimiento del otro no es la única condición para que haya una participación activa en la construcción de ciudadanía, se destacaron cambios favorables a partir de la práctica del teatro considerado como un medio capaz de establecer comunicación entre los sujetos que se reconocen como iguales y que a partir de su participación activa manifiestan poder generar transformaciones sociales y culturales. From the perspective of participatory citizenship, it is assumed that the ineffectiveness of the democratic government system to represent and defend all citizens could be transformed by those who decide to get involved to build, through dialogic action, a society where it is recognized and heard the different. By proposing theater as a means of communication and therefore a possible means for social and cultural transformation, the people who practice it are taken into account. For this reason, this research makes an exploratory-purposeful study and works from the experience of young people who are new to the Jaulabierta Theater Workshop, highlighting what its incidence could be to achieve long-term changes in thinking and behavior that motivate to participate actively with actions, speeches and insights in the construction of a society where we all fit. As main findings, it is evidenced that reflection must first be raised on a personal level in order to transcend to a collective level and that although it is established that the recognition of the other is not the only condition for there to be active participation in the construction of citizenship , favorable changes were highlighted from the practice of theater considered as a means capable of establishing communication between subjects who recognize themselves as equals and who, based on their active participation, claim to be able to generate social and cultural transformations.
