Descripción :	El siguiente trabajo consta de cuatro composiciones y dos arreglos de música colombiana para saxofón alto y acompañamiento (Bajo, batería, piano, flauta, trombón) en diferentes formatos, recibiendo el nombre de “Nuevas piezas colombianas para saxofón”. El escaso repertorio existente para éste tipo de formato, sumado a la poca divulgación de éstos ritmos en cuanto al instrumento se refiere, fueron razones de peso para llevar a cabo la realización de éste trabajo. El proyecto se basa en ritmos propios de la música folclórica colombiana, haciendo énfasis a tres regiones naturales del país, mostrando dos aires de cada una de ellas con la característica de ser ritmos no convencionales para el instrumento. Región Andina (Shirú y Torbellino), Región Caribe (Tambora y Chandé) y Región de la Orinoquía (Pasaje y Pajarillo). Igualmente se pretende mostrar la versatilidad del instrumento empleando efectos que le son propios. Las obras están dirigidas a músicos cuyo nivel instrumental es intermedio y avanzado, es decir que tengan un total dominio del saxofón en aspectos como: registro, articulaciones (ligato, stacato, martle), efectos (slap, frulato), entre otros, para así poder interpretar las obras adecuadamente. The scarce existing repertoire for this type of format, added to the little dissemination of these rhythms as far as the instrument is concerned, were compelling reasons to carry out this work. The project is based on rhythms typical of Colombian folk music, emphasizing three natural regions of the country, showing two airs of each one of them with the characteristic of being unconventional rhythms for the instrument. Andean Region (Shirú and Torbellino), Caribbean Region (Tambora and Chandé) and Orinoquía Region (Pasaje and Pajarillo). It is also intended to show the versatility of the instrument by using its own effects. The works are aimed at musicians whose instrumental level is intermediate and advanced, that is, who have a total command of the saxophone in aspects such as: register, articulations (ligato, stacato, martle), effects (slap, frulato), among others, for this be able to interpret the works properly.
