Descripción :	O presente artigo analisou a atual infraestrutura de transporte de carga no Brasil, a partir do contexto da greve/lockout dos caminhoneiros que ocorreu em 2018 e a crise de abastecimento e de suprimentos que se instaurou. A população brasileira vivenciou uma situação de caos com as paralisações dos caminhoneiros, e o artigo buscou retratar os principais acontecimentos e os seus reflexos para os cidadãos durante e após as manifestações, bem como a resposta dada pelo governo Temer. Com o impeachment da presidenta Dilma, verifica-se um desmonte do projeto democrático e do Estado social, com o governo alinhado aos interesses do capital financeiro. O problema de pesquisa foi, nesse sentido, verificar se a infraestrutura de transporte é condizente com as dimensões territoriais e geográficas do Brasil. Igualmente, se buscou aferir as respostas dadas pela presidência à crise vivenciada no país, especialmente em relação aos cortes de investimentos em programas sociais. A metodologia de pesquisa adotada no trabalho foi o método hipotético-dedutivo, onde partiu-se da hipótese de que a infraestrutura de transporte não se demonstra suficiente e adequada. A técnica de pesquisa empregada foi a exploratória, realizada a partir de levantamentos bibliográficos e análise de dados e mapas. This paper analyzes the current infrastructure of cargo transportation in Brazil, based on the context of the truck drivers' strike / lockout that took place in 2018 and the crisis of provision and supply that was introduced. The Brazilian population experienced a situation of chaos with truck stoppages, and the article sought to portray the main events and their reflections for citizens during and after the demonstrations, as well as the response given by the Temer government. With the impeachment of President Dilma, there is a dismantling of the democratic project and the social state, with the government aligned with the interests of financial capital. The research problem was, in this sense, to verify if the transport infrastructure is consistent with the territorial and geographical dimensions of Brazil. Likewise, it was sought to assess the responses given by the presidency to the crisis experienced in the country, especially in relation to cuts in investments in social programs. The research methodology adopted in the work was the hypothetical-deductive method, where we started from the hypothesis that the transport infrastructure is not sufficient and adequate. The research technique used was exploratory, based on bibliographical surveys and data and map analysis.
