| dc.description | The beginnings of the period we are dealing with here also mark the beginning of the acceleration of the process of change in the reality programmed by the builders of the Nation-State towards the middle of the century. The structural weakness of a meager, dispersed and precariously communicated population, preferentially oriented to an extractive economy of scarce transformation and strongly influenced in its social and political behaviors by the ecclesiastical order, is shaken. A stream of foreigners from the Old World modified the urban and rural landscape, bringing different vocations and work habits that diversified and expanded the production of the local market, definitively intertwining it with a growing foreign demand that crystallized the inherited pattern of communications with swift iron routes. The process is slow in Córdoba -especially if compared to the Litoral-, but of transcendence and in some aspects impacting. | en-US |
| dc.description | Los inicios del lapso que aquí se aborda señalan el comienzo, también, del aceleramiento en el proceso de cambio de la realidad que programaron los constructores del Estado-Nación hacia mediados del siglo. La debilidad estructural de una población exigua, dispersa y precariamente comunicada, orientada de manera preferente a una economía extractiva de escasa transformación y fuertemente pautada en sus comportamientos sociales y políticos por el orden eclesiástico, se ve sacudida. Una corriente de extranjeros del Viejo Mundo modifica el paisaje urbano y rural aportando distintas vocaciones y hábitos de trabajo que diversifican y amplían la producción del mercado local, entrelazándolo definitivamente a una creciente demanda exterior que cristaliza con veloces rutas de hierro el dibujo heredado de las comunicaciones. El proceso es lento en Córdoba –sobre todo si se lo compara con el Litoral-,pero de trascendencia y en algunos aspectos impactante. | es-ES |
