| dc.description | It’s been five years since the signing of the peace dialogues in Colombia and behind it, we still have a society that appears to be immersed in death. Eduardo Caballero Calderon’s work yet to be explored (1910-1993), knew well how to depict that peasant and bipartisan violence which early on portrayed the fate that would accompany the Colombian nation during seven decades. Starting from a hermeneutical diapason, which aims to look back at the past and confront the present, the importance of regional and classic literature is noticed, one which explores everyday life and sheds light in order to understand the present cycles. Rescuing from the work El cristo de espaldas the forms of violence and how the discourses of uprooting and ideological and social exclusion, are transformed into a direct denunciation to a legacy that has not been overcome. By way of the present reflective exercise, there appears a claim to the pending claim for the task of consolidating a nation, especially from the standpoint of the participative citizenry, who, based on their reality should lay bridges with its history, culture, and literature in order to grasp and signify its present and this way renounce the weight of that split mentality. | en-US |
| dc.description | Se vive el primer lustro de los diálogos de paz en Colombia, y detrás de ello una sociedad que todavía parece sumida en la muerte. La obra aún por explorar de Eduardo Caballero Calderón (1910-1993), supo retratar esa violencia campesina y bipartidista, que tempranamente retrató el sino que acompañaría a la nación colombiana después de siete décadas. A partir de una hermenéutica de diapasón, que trata de revisar el pasado y confrontar el presente, se advierte la importancia de una literatura regional y clásica, que explore su cotidianidad y brinde luz para entender los ciclos del presente. Rescatar desde la obra El cristo de espaldas las formas de violencia y cómo se habitan los discursos de desarraigo y exclusión ideológica y social, se transforma en una denuncia directa a una herencia que aún no ha sido superada. A través del presente ejercicio reflexivo aparece un reclamo por esa tarea postergada de consolidar una nación, especialmente desde una ciudadanía partícipe, quien desde su realidad debe tender puentes con su historia, cultura y literatura para comprender y significar su presente, y de esta forma renunciar al peso de esa mentalidad escindida. | es-ES |
