Descripción :	Nace en Bucaramanga, Departamento de Santander, el 16 de Noviembre de 1938. Estudió en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de la Universidad de los Andes, donde obtuvo el título de maestría en pintura (1959-1962). Tomó un curso de grabado en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Rotterdam, Holanda (1966). Ha expuesto individual y colectivamente desde 1964. Ha obtenido varias distinciones, entre ellas en el Salón Anual de Artistas Colombianos, durante las versiones XVII (1965) XIX (1967) y XXXIII (1990). Ha representado a Colombia en la XI Bienal de Sao Paulo (1971), en la XXXVIII Bienal de Venecia (1978), en las exposiciones “Arte de lo Fantástico en América Latina y Flandes” (Amberes 1992), “Latin American Women Artists, 1915-1995” (Milwaukee Art Museum, Milwaukee; Nationla Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, Center for the Fine Arts, Miami; 1995-1996) la Bienal de Kwangiu titulada “Beyond the Borders” (Corea, 1996) “América Latina 96” (Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires; 1996) “Realismo mágico? Art Figuaratif des Années 90 en Colombie” (Bruselas, 1996), Exposición Retrospectiva (Museo del Barrio, Nueva York, 1998) He was born in Bucaramanga, Santander Department, on November 16, 1938. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of the Universidad de los Andes, where he obtained a master's degree in painting (1959-1962). He took a course in engraving at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rotterdam, Holland (1966). He has exhibited individually and collectively since 1964. He has obtained several distinctions, among them in the Annual Exhibition of Colombian Artists, during versions XVII (1965) XIX (1967) and XXXIII (1990).
