dc.descriptionOne of the most common elements in the Mesoamerican world-view is the belief in a transforming ritual specialist, named nahualli. However, even if the ancient Aztec sources mark a difference between a good nahualli and an evil one, we must accept that we don't have much information about its social function. Considering that the characteristics of evil one may be defined in opposition to the good one, our estimate is that we must begin by defining the social role of the good nahualli first.en-US
dc.descriptionUno de los elementos más comunes de la cosmovisión mesoamericana es la creencia en una suerte de especialista ritual, llamado nahualli, considerado como capaz de cambiar de forma a voluntad. No obstante, aun si las fuentes aztecas distinguen entre un buen nahualli y un mal nahualli, debemos aceptar que contamos con muy pocos datos sobre la función social de este personaje. Tomando en cuenta que el mal nahualli puede ser definido por su oposición al bueno, consideramos que debemos comenzar por definir el rol social del buen nahualli.es-ES
