| dc.description | This paper proposes an analysis of recent historiography about the First World War. Its main argument centers on the rise of studies focused from global and transnational turns that has dominated the most recent works. This renewal has prompted new research on «unknow» scenarios in previous decades and has begun to show the multiple relationships established between continents. In addition, it has extended the chronology of the war and has led to a thematic expansion that has also led to several investigations focused on neutral countries. In this framework, the traditional frontier between belligerent and neutral scenarios has been put into question. Finally, the article set possible future research perspectives from a review of cultural historiography that has dominated the studies on the Great War worldwide during the last decades. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este artículo propone un análisis de la historiografía reciente sobre la Primera Guerra Mundial. El eje de la argumentación se centra en el auge de los estudios focalizados a partir del giro global y transnacional que ha dominado los trabajos más recientes. Esta renovación ha impulsado nuevas investigaciones sobre escenarios poco estudiados en las décadas anteriores y ha comenzado a mostrar las múltiples relaciones establecidas entre los continentes. Además, ha extendido la cronología de la guerra y ha propiciado una ampliación temática que ha dado lugar a numerosas investigaciones centradas en los países neutrales. En este marco, la tradicional frontera entre escenarios beligerantes y neutrales ha sido puesta en cuestión. Finalmente, el artículo plantea posibles perspectivas de investigación futuras a partir de una revisión de la historiografía cultural que ha dominado los estudios sobre la Gran Guerra a nivel mundial durante las últimas décadas. | es-ES |
