dc.descriptionThe “power vacuum” is a dangerous condition that alters the status quo and is the product of a State's lack of governance, its inability to generate effective social cohesion and the delegitimization of its institutions. This article will analyse how some Kurdish communities in Iraq, Iran, Syria and Turkey, the countries where their population and ancestral territory are mainly concentrated, have become gemismatic forces with the ability to create and fill power gaps and the dynamics with which the affected countries have to deal in the process of filling in the power vacuum left by the Islamic State.en-US
dc.descriptionEl “vacío de poder” es una condición peligrosa que altera el statu quo y es producto de la falta de gobernabilidad de un Estado, su incapacidad para generar una efectiva cohesión social y la deslegitimación de sus instituciones. Este artículo analizará cómo algunas comunidades kurdas en Irak, Irán, Siria y Turquía, los países donde su población y territorio ancestral se encuentran principalmente concentrados, se han convertido en fuerzas gemismáticas con la capacidad de crear y llenar vacíos de poder y la dinámica a la que se enfrentan en estos países en el proceso de llenado del vacío de poder que dejó consigo el Estado Islámico.es-ES
