Descripción :	Nuestra investigación tocará específicamente el tema atinente a los medicamentos naturales; su protección mediante patentes, legalización y los beneficios tanto científicos como económicos que se generan por las creaciones de los investigadores que contribuyen al desarrollo tecnológico de un país. Desde épocas remotas el hombre ha procurado poner fin a los males que afectan su salud o ponen en riesgo su vida, fue así como empezó a desarrollar medicinas que aliviaran sus dolencias, prolongaran su existencia y promovieran la trascendencia de su especie. En algún momento de nuestra vida, nosotros hijos del mestizaje y nativos de esta tierra megadiversa y mágica, como lo describe el “Realismo Fantástico” de García Márquez, hemos probado las bondades de la Medicina naturista y tradicional, los rezos para contrarrestar los malignos efectos de la culebrilla (científicamente llamada Herpes Zoster), la aguadepanela con toronjil y limón caliente para la garganta, el chocolate para aliviar las penas, las fricciones de tabaco con aguardiente para los dolores, la pepa de aguacate rallada para atacar la indeseable plaga que son los piojos, y para los más osados fricciones con sapo macho para curar la erisipela. Tradiciones y secretos que se transmitieron de forma oral y que hoy aunque parezca increíble tienen un potencial e incalculable valor para nuestro país y que en el escenario global de los tratados sobre propiedad industrial son denominados “componente intangible”. Este concepto hasta hace poco tiempo era desconocido y los derechos de los dueños de dicho conocimiento eran vulnerados por medio del “agarre y lleve” o para ponerlo en palabras técnicas “BIOPIRATERIA”. Fue así como una dama francesa se hizo famosa por un perfume numerado, a partir del extracto del Nenúfar del Brasil; muchas plantas de origen suramericano sirven de base para el elixir de la eterna juventud, creaciones realizadas en el Japón y vendidas al resto del mundo por cuantiosas sumas. Since ancient times, man has tried to put an end to the ills that affect his health or put his life at risk, this is how he began to develop medicines that would alleviate his ailments, prolong his existence and promote transcendence of his species. At some point in our lives, we children of miscegenation and natives of this mega-diverse and magical land, as described in García Márquez's "Fantastic Realism", have tasted the benefits of naturopathic and traditional medicine, the prayers to counteract the evil effects of shingles (scientifically called Herpes Zoster), aguadepanela with lemon balm and hot lemon for the throat, chocolate to relieve pain, the friction of tobacco with brandy for pain, grated avocado seed to attack the undesirable plague that are lice, and for the most daring frictions with a male toad to cure erysipelas. Traditions and secrets that were transmitted orally and that today, although it may seem incredible, have a potential and incalculable value for our country and that in the global scenario of industrial property treaties are called "intangible component". This concept until recently was unknown and the rights of the owners of said knowledge were violated by means of "grab and go" or to put it in technical words "BIOPIRACY". This is how a French lady became famous for a numbered perfume, from the extract of the Water Lily from Brazil; many plants of South American origin serve as the basis for the elixir of eternal youth, creations made in Japan and sold to the rest of the world for large sums.
