Descripción :	Abordando algumas das contribuições oferecidas por Althusser e Gramsci acerca do relacionamento entre infra e superestrutura, o presente trabalho busca contribuir para o estudo das relações entre educação e modo de produção capitalista. Postulando que tais relações não devem ser enfocadas à luz exclusivamente dos requerimentos ao aparelho produtivo, chama a atenção para os condicionamentos sócio-políticos subjacentes ao processo. Entre estes, destaca a luta pelo controle do aparelho escolar como elemento indispensável à apreensão das tensões e contradições subjacentes àquelas relações em formações sociais concretas. The present paper, in examining some of the contributions made by Althusser and Gramsci on the relationship between infra and superstructure seeks to contribute to the study of the relations capitalist education and the mode of between production. Postulating that such relations should not be viewed exclusively in the ligth of the requirements of the system of production, it draws attention to the socio-political factors underlying the process. Among the latter emphasis, is laid on the struggle for the control of the schopl system as an element that is indispensable for um understanding of the tension and contradictions underlying those relations in concrete social contexts.
