A cuarenta años de Pensamiento Crítico

Abstract

Resumen: La revista cubana Pensamiento Crìtico lanzó su primer número en febrero de 1967. Órgano del “grupo de la calle K” del Departamento de Filosofìa y Letras (La Habana, Cuba) tuvo por principal objetivo aunar teorìa y práctica en el análisis concreto de los problemas que enfrentaba la revolución cubana. En este escrito, Fernando Martìnez Heredia selecciona un editorial del primer número de Pensamiento Crìtico y un fragmento del discurso que ofreciera al recibir el Premio Nacional de Ciencias Sociales. Con esta sìntesis, Martìnez Heredia procura valorar la revista en aquello que juzga fue su principal aporte en el combate de las ideas para la revolución cubana. “Otro es su mundo y es ella misma”, sostie- ne Martìnez Heredia. En su proceso contemporáneo, la revolución cubana relanzó su gran desafìo anticapitalista una vez más en medio de una tremenda guerra cultural. Abstract: The Cuban Journal Pensamiento Crìtico released its first issue in February 1967. This member of the “K Street group” at the School of Philosophy and Letters (Havana, Cuba) aimed mainly at integrating theory and practice in the specific analysis of the problems faced by the Cuban revolution. In this piece of writing, Fernando Martìnez Heredia picks out an editorial from the first issue of Pensamiento Crìtico and a fragment of the speech delivered on occasion of the National Award on Social Sciences. With this brief, Martìnez Heredia seeks to appreciate the journal in what he considers its key contribution in the struggle of ideas for the Cuban revolution. “The world is another, and yet it is the same”, states Martìnez Heredia. In its contemporary process, the Cuban revolution launched its great anticapitalist challenge once again in the midst of a tremendous cultural war.
