| dc.description | O presente artigo é fruto da pesquisa empreendida no mestrado em Direito da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) que teve como título “Tempo, memória e direito: um estudo jurídico, político e filosófico sobre o patrimônio cultural imaterial”. O Inventário Nacional de Referência Cultural (INRC) é um novo instrumento da gestão da memória social que, junto com o Registro, constitui o cerne da política de proteção dos bens culturais imateriais. O INRC é também uma conquista democrática que possibilita a proteção da plural cultura brasileira, independendo de posterior registro em um dos livros oficiais, tornando-se, portanto, independente e bastando em si como instrumento protetivo. The cultural reference of the National Inventory of intangible heritage protection ABSTRACT: This article derives from the research undertaken in the Masters in Law, from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), which was entitled "Time, memory and law: a legal, political and philosophical study about the intangible cultural heritage". The National Inventory of Cultural Reference (INRC) is a new instrument for the management of social memory that, along with the registry, is the core of protection policy of intangible cultural heritage. The INRC is also a democratic achievement which enables the protection of plural Brazilian culture, regardless of a later registry in the official books, becoming so independent and by itself becoming a protective instrument.
