Descripción :	Neste trabalho pretende-se discutir acerca da relação entre os conceitos de Laicidade, Secularização e a relação do Estado com o ensino religioso nas escolas públicas. Inicialmente, será debatido os conceitos de laicidade e secularização, sua construção histórica juntamente com o papel do Estado, tendo como perspectiva a garantia de laicidade pela Constituição Brasileira e a problemática do ensino religioso nas escolas públicas, sob a égide da Constituição Federal e a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional. This paper discusses about the relationship between the concepts of Laicidade, Secularization and the relationship between the State and religious education in public schools. Initially, it will be discussed the concepts of secularism and secularization, a historic building along with the role of the state, in an attempt to guarantee secularism by the Brazilian Constitution and the issue of religious education in public schools, under the auspices of the Federal Constitution and the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education.
