Título :	The future belongs to artists! A discourse analysis of the expressionist manifesto ¡El futuro será de los artistas! Un análisis discursivo del manifiesto expresionista

Descripción :	This work intends to encounter the textual corpus constituted by the Expressionist Manifesto of the Die Brücke group of artists. In the first place, with Marshall Berman, we must say that expressionism is a modern phenomenon, and, more specifically, a modernist one. It is in this last sense that we can see it as part of the artistic avant-gardes of the 20th century. In the second place, the expressionist movement shows certain specific features that distinguish it from the rest of the avant-gardes, and which we will display along the essay. Since our object of study is a text, certain intellectual history and discourse analysis tools become necessary, so we will be working with the ones provided by Michel Foucault and Jonathan Culler. Finally, since our object is also a manifesto, that is, a specific discursive genre, we will have to analyze it with the tools provided by Eliseo Verón. Este trabajo se propone abordar el corpus textual constituido por el Manifiesto Expresionista del grupo de pintores Die Brücke. En primer lugar, y siguiendo a M. Berman, debemos decir que el expresionismo es un fenómeno moderno, y más específicamente, modernista. En este último sentido es que podemos verlo como formando parte de las vanguardias artísticas del siglo XX. Por otro lado, el movimiento expresionista, de entre el conjunto de los movimientos de vanguardia, contó con ciertos rasgos diferenciales, que nos ocuparemos de revisar. Ahora bien, en tanto nuestro objeto es un texto, resultan indispensables ciertos abordajes de la historia intelectual y del análisis del discurso, para lo cual trabajaremos especialmente con los aportes de M. Foucault y J. Culler. Finalmente, por encontrarnos frente a un género particular que es el manifiesto, deberemos hacer uso también de sus herramientas de análisis específicas, concretamente con las aportadas por E. Verón.
