Descripción :	The concepts of cultural landscape and region are essential components in the study of geography, territory and planning throughout the last century. The same, throughout all these years, have been subject of various debates, approaches, epistemological reflections and perspectives of action. In this sense, this article intends to make a tour on the historical genealogy of these terms in order to be able to reflect on what their role and importance at present, since these concepts have had and continue to have a key role in the process of formation, consolidation and maintenance of territorial identities. Los conceptos de paisaje cultural y región constituyen a lo largo del último siglo componentes esenciales en el estudio de la geografía, el territorio y la planificación. Los mismos, a lo largo de todos estos años, han sido objeto de diversos debates, enfoques, reflexiones epistemológicas y perspectivas de acción. En este sentido, el presente artículo se propone realizar un recorrido sobre la genealogía histórica de estos términos a fin de poder reflexionar sobre cuál es su rol e importancia en la actualidad, ya que estos conceptos han tenido y siguen teniendo un papel fundamental en el proceso de formación, consolidación y mantenimiento de las identidades territoriales.
