The opening words of the seventh water festival in defense of territory which is held every year in eastern Antioquia Colombia, reproduce the aim of these events it is to reflect and take action against the social and environmental problems facing the region caused by the arrival on the territory of new hydropower projects, major application areas for mega-mining, the advance of monoculture that destroyed the usual ways of inhabiting the territory and in this volume are reclaiming these efforts community.Se reproducen las palabras de apertura del séptimo festival del agua en defensa del territorio que se realiza cada año en el oriente antioqueño Colombia, el objetivo de estos eventos es el de reflexionar y tomar acciones frente a los problemas socioambientales que aquejan a la región, causados con la irrupción en este territorio de nuevos proyectos de generación hidroeléctrica, la solicitud de grandes áreas para la megaminería, el avance de los monocultivos que destruyen las habituales formas de habitar el territorio y en el presente volumen se revindican dichos esfuerzos de la comunidad.
