dc.description	The aim in this article is to start a more deep-dive discussion about the translations into Brazilian Portuguese of the works by Marcel Schwob and about some fundamental questions that Schwob’s works elicit to the fi eld of the Translation Studies. Barely known, even in his country, yet Marcel Schwob is considered, by a selected group, as one of the most important writers of the nineteenth century. Only two of his fi ctional works have been translated into Brazilian Portuguese: Imaginary lives (1896) and The children crusade (1896).	en-US
dc.description	Este artigo se propõe a dar início a uma discussão mais aprofundada sobre a tradução da obra de Marcel Schwob em português do Brasil e sobre algumas das principais questões colocadas por esta obra para o campo dos Estudos da Tradução. Pouco conhecido, mesmo em seu país natal, Marcel Schwob (1867-1905) é, no entanto, considerado, por um seleto grupo, como um dos mais importantes escritores do seu tempo. São apenas duas as obras de Schwob traduzidas ao português brasileiro, Vidas imaginárias e A Cruzada das crianças.	pt-BR
