dc.description	In the early 60s, Brazil and Paraguay disputed the sovereignty of a small region near Sete Quedas falls, also known as Salto de Guaira. This territorial problem was solved onlywith the Itaipu Treaty (1973) and the construction of abinational hydroelectric on the site. However, the Ata das Cataratas (1966) treaty inspired thelegal framework of the Treaty of 1973 and the Itaipu. This article presents the evolution of the Sete Quedas border dispute between Brazil and Paraguay.	en-US
dc.description	No início da década de 60, Brasil e Paraguai disputaram a soberania de uma pequena região nas proximidades das cataratas de Sete Quedas, também conhecidas como Salto de Guairá. Esse problema territorial somente foi resolvido com o Tratado de Itaipu (1973) e a construção de uma hidrelétrica binacional no local. A Ata das Cataratas inspirou o marco legal do Tratado de 1973 e da Itaipu Binacional.  Assim, o presente artigo objetiva apresentar a evolução do litígio fronteiriço de Sete Quedas, desde a divulgação do Projeto Sete Quedas Ã Ata das Cataratas (1966).	pt-BR
