dc.description	This text attempts to understand the conceptual and methodological foundation of liberal institutions and culture, and in particular to understand in what sense and why liberal democracy is considered universal and therefore capable of being applied throughout the world. This work is guided by the idea that the places of the political are neither monolithic nor univocal, on the contrary, they are dialectical. This idea derives from the general hypothesis according to which the great weakness of liberal democracy comes from its inability to integrate all the elements of social reality in the achievement of its objectives.
dc.description	Este texto intenta comprender el fundamento conceptual y metodológico de las instituciones y cultura liberales, y en particular comprender en qué sentido y por qué la democracia liberal es considerada como universal y por ende susceptible de ser aplicada en todo el mundo. Este trabajo se guía en la idea de que los lugares de lo político no son monolíticos ni unívocos, al contrario, son dialécticos. Esta idea deriva de la hipótesis general según la cual la gran debilidad de la democracia liberal proviene de su incapacidad de integrar todos los elementos de la realidad social en la consecución de sus objetivos.
