dc.description	The purpose of this article is to discuss both the concept of metasource, coined long ago, and the use of Geographic Information Systems in History. Specifically, we wish to highlight the increase in the investigations whose methodology is associated with geoprocessing or geographic information systems and some consequences of this procedure on History itself.	en-US
