La publicación del libro Por la soberanía intelectual del Caribe: el Grupo Nuevo Mundo (Fondo Editorial Casa de las Américas, 2020) se inscribe en la vocación fundacional de la Casa de las Américas para convertirse en un puente cultural entre Cuba y la América Latina y el Caribe. En este artículo se ofrecen y analizan ejemplos de cómo, desde su fundación el 28 de abril de 1959, la institución habanera visibiliza la creación literaria y el pensamiento caribeños. Asimismo, se identifican los aportes del volumen de referencia y se indaga sobre la presencia de Cuba en los textos que aparecen en este.The publication of the book Por la soberanía intelectual del Caribe: el Grupo Nuevo Mundo (Fondo Editorial Casa de las Américas, 2020) is part of the founding vocation of Casa de las Américas to become a cultural bridge between Cuba and Latin America and the Caribbean. This article offers and analyses examples of how, since its foundation on 28 April 1959, the Havana institution has given visibility to Caribbean literary creation and thought. It also analyses the contributions of the reference volume and explores the presence of Cuba in the texts that appear in it.
